Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Tilbury, Essex
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Panama Shift Pattern
Bias: Electrical or Mechanical

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge within a successful manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business based in Tilbury, Essex. Offering a salary of £55,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer to join a busy engineering team and play an important role in maintaining production performance and equipment reliability.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and machinery operate efficiently through a combination of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.

• Undertake electrical or mechanical fault finding, depending on your engineering bias.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.

• Ensure machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

• Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to minimise disruption.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow relevant health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.

• Electrical or Mechanical engineering bias considered.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

• Able to work independently and as part of an engineering team.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
