Job description
About the role Our client is a [civil engineering / building] contractor delivering [infrastructure / residential / commercial] projects across the region. We need a Site Engineer to keep our projects accurate, safe and on programme.
What you will do
- Set out works using total stations, GPS and levels
- Check work against drawings and specifications
- Manage quality records, including inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Keep accurate as-built records and survey data
- Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site
- Support the Site Manager with programme, health and safety and progress reports
What you need
- HNC, HND or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years as a Site Engineer or Assistant Site Engineer
- Strong setting-out skills and confidence with survey equipment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
Nice to have
- Temporary works or SMSTS training
- Drainage, groundworks or structures experience
- Working towards ICE or CIOB membership
