Rate: £24.00 per hour (CIS)

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Slinger Signaller to join our team on a construction project. The successful candidate must hold a valid CPCS card and have experience assisting with lifting operations on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely sling and secure loads ready for lifting operations.
• Direct crane operators using recognised hand signals and communication systems.
• Ensure loads are correctly attached, balanced and secure before lifting.
• Check lifting accessories and equipment before use, reporting any defects.
• Maintain safe working distances and ensure exclusion zones are observed.
• Work closely with crane operators, lift supervisors and site management.
• Follow lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out in accordance with site health and safety procedures.
• Stop lifting operations if unsafe conditions arise.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CPCS Slinger Signaller card – essential.
• Previous experience in a construction site environment.
• Good understanding of lifting operations and safe load handling.
• Knowledge of site health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Full PPE and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
