ISS is looking for an experienced SSE Authorised Cat 3 Engineer to join a high-voltage substation project near Basingstoke.

We’re looking for a safety-focused, competent engineer with relevant SSE authorisations and experience working within HV substation environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Carry out authorised electrical works within a high-voltage substation.
• Support substation installation, maintenance and upgrade activities.
• Work in accordance with SSE safety rules, procedures and site requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards.
• Coordinate with site teams and other contractors to support project delivery.

✅ Requirements

• Valid SSE Cat 3 authorisation relevant to the scope of work.
• Previous experience working on HV substations.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Relevant electrical qualifications and site certifications.
