Stores Operative

Milton Keynes

£30,000 - £35,000 + Monday to Friday + Early Finish Friday + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Death in Service + Benefits

Are you a Stores Operative with some exposure to an engineering or manufacturing environment? Are you hands-on, practical and looking for a varied role where you can get involved in both stores operations and basic engineering processes?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company offering long-term stability, excellent working hours and a great benefits package. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the stores whilst also getting involved in basic machine operation and component finishing. Full specialist experience isn't necessary, just a practical attitude, good stores experience and some exposure to an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Your Role As A Stores Operative Will Include:

• Managing stores, stock control and inventory

• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch

• Loading and unloading deliveries using forklift equipment

• Operating basic engineering and component finishing machinery

• Assisting with production and manufacturing processes

• Inspecting, handling and preparing components

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

• Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 13:00

As A Stores Operative You Will Have:

• Experience as a Stores Operative, Warehouse Operative, Stock Controller or similar

• Some exposure to engineering, manufacturing or workshop environments

• Practical, hands-on individual who is comfortable using tools and machinery

• Forklift licence / FLT certification

• Full UK driving licence

• Experience with stock management systems

• Willingness to learn and get involved in different tasks
