Structures Sub Agent

Job description

We're recruiting for an experienced Structures Sub Agent to join a major highways infrastructure project in Canterbury.   This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex bridge and structural works as part of a high-profile civil engineering project.   Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing sections of the structures package, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.   Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day construction activities on structural works packages
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Reviewing RAMS, ITPs and construction documentation
• Monitoring programme progress and identifying opportunities to improve productivity
• Managing technical queries and liaising with design teams
• Producing short-term programmes and look-ahead plans
• Supporting commercial teams with change management and record keeping
• Mentoring Engineers and supporting site delivery teams

  Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Site Agent or Senior Section Engineer on civil engineering projects
• Strong structures experience including bridges, reinforced concrete, foundations, retaining walls or major highways structures
• Good understanding of NEC contracts
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• CSCS Card
• SMSTS preferred
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
