(SEND & Benchmarking) South West Region

Fully Remote £450-£500 per day Interim Contract

We are seeking an experienced Performance & Insights Regional Lead to lead the South West Regional Benchmarking Programme, delivering high-quality performance intelligence, data analysis and strategic insight across local authorities and SEND partnerships.

Working closely with senior leaders, the South West RIIA and regional partners, you will coordinate benchmarking activity, analyse complex datasets, develop Power BI dashboards, and provide actionable intelligence to support service improvement and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead regional benchmarking and performance reporting across South West local authorities.
• Analyse and interpret SEND and Children's Services performance data.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, reports and presentations.
• Chair and facilitate regional benchmarking and intelligence network meetings across the South West.
• Build strong relationships with Directors, Assistant Directors and senior stakeholders.
• Support inspection readiness, improvement activity and strategic planning.
• Line manage up to 3 Performance Data Analysts.
• Liaise with the DfE and regional partners regarding data returns and benchmarking requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive Local Authority performance and intelligence experience.
• Strong knowledge of SEND, EHCP processes and Children's Services performance.
• Advanced Power BI and data visualisation skills.
• Experience leading benchmarking, insight or improvement programmes.
• Proven ability to chair and lead regional network meetings.
• Strong understanding of the South West local government landscape.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills.
• Experience managing analytical teams and delivering regional programmes.

Working Arrangements
