Technical Sales and Customer Support within a leading equipment supplier

Are you someone who combines strong customer service skills with a technical mindset and a commercial approach? Do you enjoy solving problems, coordinating repairs and identifying opportunities to generate additional business?

An established engineering and equipment business is looking to recruit a Technical Sales & Service Coordinator to join its team. This is a varied, customer-facing role combining technical support, service and repair coordination, and proactive sales activity. You'll become a key point of contact for customers, ensuring machine issues are resolved efficiently while maximising opportunities to generate revenue through servicing, maintenance, spare parts and equipment sales.

The Role

You'll take ownership of customer service requests and repairs from initial enquiry through to completion, while proactively developing existing customer relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing telephone and email technical support, troubleshooting machine faults and advising customers on solutions.
• Identifying spare parts requirements and preparing technical information, diagrams and quotations.
• Coordinating engineers, repair schedules, machine collections and returns.
• Managing service calls, repair records and invoicing through SAP.
• Reviewing engineer reports, assessing warranty coverage and recommending repair, replacement or write-off.
• Preparing quotations, obtaining customer approvals and managing chargeable repair work.
• Managing existing service and maintenance agreements, ensuring work is completed on time.
• Proactively contacting existing customers to promote service visits, maintenance packages and spare parts.
• Identifying opportunities to upsell accessories, replacement equipment and additional services.

The Commercial Opportunity

This isn't simply a service administration position. You'll play an active role in developing existing customer accounts and generating additional revenue through proactive customer engagement.

You'll be expected to:

• Make proactive customer calls per day.
• Convert a solid level of quoted proactive service opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Follow up quotations and turn service recommendations into sales.
• Work alongside the Sales Team to maximise opportunities with new and existing customers.

Who are we Looking For?

We're interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Experience in technical sales, engineering, equipment sales or service coordination.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to understand technical issues and confidently discuss solutions with customers.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercial awareness, with confidence discussing costs, quotations and sales opportunities.
• Experience using business systems and IT packages to manage service jobs and customer records.
• You'll be proactive, commercially minded and comfortable picking up the phone to customers.
• You'll enjoy finding solutions, building relationships and seeing opportunities through to completion.
