Trainee Electroforming Operative

Tonbridge, Kent | Full-Time | Permanent | 37.5 Hours per Week

Graticules Optics is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Trainee Electroforming Operative join our manufacturing team in Tonbridge.

You don't need a degree, engineering qualifications or previous experience. We're looking for someone keen to learn, happy working with their hands and ready to develop specialist skills through practical, on-the-job training.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work alongside our experienced team, learning how to manufacture precision components used in specialist industries.

• Learn manufacturing processes including mandrel preparation, grid cleaning, electroforming and resist dipping
• Handle and manufacture small, precision components
• Carry out quality checks and testing
• Follow instructions and Health & Safety procedures
• Develop accuracy, patience and attention to detail

The work involves fine-detail tasks, chemical processes and periods of standing, so you'll need to enjoy careful, practical work.

This is a trainee position, particularly suited to school or college leavers seeking their first permanent role.

We're looking for someone who:

• Enjoys hands-on activities and learning practical skills
• Is patient, careful and pays attention to detail
• Is reliable, punctual and committed
• Wants to learn a trade and develop a long-term career
• Is practical, self-motivated and willing to learn
• Can follow Health & Safety procedures
• Experience with fine-detail or microscope work would be useful but isn’t essential.

No previous experience is required. We'll teach you what you need to know.
