Weighbridge Operator

📍 Location: DA11
💷 Salary: £14.00 per hour
🕕 Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
🚗 Driving Licence: Essential due to the location of the site
⚡ Immediate Start – Monday 10th

We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator to join a busy recycling centre based in DA11.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organisation. You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring HGV vehicles are weighed accurately and site records are maintained efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Weighing HGV vehicles entering and leaving the recycling centre.
• Recording accurate vehicle weights using the weighbridge system.
• Issuing weighbridge tickets and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Liaising with HGV drivers and site personnel in a professional manner.
• Ensuring all vehicle movements are processed efficiently.
• Responding to telephone calls and general enquiries.
• Completing general administration duties as required.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with site procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous weighbridge experience is desirable but not essential.
• Previous administration or data entry experience would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy.
• Confident using computers and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and proactive.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the location of the site.
