HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician
Location: Erith, Kent (near Dartford / South East London)
Salary: £58,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday | 08:00–16:30 + 1 in 2 Saturdays | 05:00–13:00
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician to join a busy workshop in Erith.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for a stable weekday role with strong earning potential, overtime opportunities and ongoing manufacturer-approved training. You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections on HGVs and trailers.

The Role

• Carry out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Complete servicing, inspections and planned maintenance
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding
• Support breakdown repairs when required
• Maintain accurate service records and paperwork
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop

Requirements

Essential:

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Previous HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician experience
• Ability to identify worn and faulty components to DVSA standards
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Desirable:

• Diagnostics and electrical experience
