HGV Technician - Swansea

Logical Personnel Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle dealership for an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy workshop in Swansea.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer standards
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work effectively as part of a busy workshop team

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous HGV Technician experience
• Strong diagnostics and fault-finding ability
• MOT licence beneficial but not essential
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Own tools preferred

Package

• £20.40 per hour basic
• 40-hour working week
• Weekly rotating shifts:
  • 06:00 - 14:30
  • 14:00 - 22:30
• Late shift Friday finish: 13:00 - 21:30
• Saturday mornings available as overtime:
  • 07:00 - 12:00
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Bonus scheme worth up to £1 per hour sold on labour
• 30 days holiday per year (27 bookable days plus 3 mandatory closure days)
• Additional day off for Christmas Eve when it falls on a weekday
