We're working with a successful machinery business looking for an experienced Hire Manager to take ownership of a busy and growing hire operation. If you're currently working in plant hire, tool hire, construction equipment, powered access, agricultural machinery or a similar sector, this is a chance to join a business where your experience will genuinely make a difference.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the hire desk, ensuring customers receive an exceptional service from enquiry through to delivery and collection.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full hire process from start to finish
• Coordinating machinery availability and fleet utilisation
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Maximising revenue and equipment utilisation
• Working closely with service and sales teams
• Handling quotations, bookings and contract administration
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Hire Manager, Hire Controller or similar
• Background within plant hire, tool hire, machinery, construction equipment or a related industry
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
