Junior Data Technician Apprentice

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Data Technician Apprentice to join a large logistics operation in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, technology and problem-solving while gaining a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Working closely with operational, warehouse and transport teams, you will support the collection, maintenance and analysis of business data to help improve efficiency, customer service and operational performance. You will gain practical experience using industry-standard reporting tools while developing the skills required for a successful career in data and supply chain analytics.

KEY DUTIES –   

• Collect, validate and maintain operational data across transport, warehouse and customer systems.
• Support the production of daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Assist in monitoring key logistics KPIs, including:
  • On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Vehicle Utilisation
  • Delivery Accuracy
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Order Fulfilment Performance
• Help identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Support data cleansing and data quality activities.
• Ensure data is handled securely and in line with GDPR requirements.
