Mechanical Design Engineer

£32,000 - £35,000 + Training + Progression + Benefits

Ashford, Kent (Commutable from: Canterbury, Folkestone, Dover, Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Tenterden, Hythe)

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or a Junior Design Engineer with experience using 3D CAD software looking to join a specialist manufacturer offering excellent technical training and long-term career progression?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally-renowned engineering company where you will receive ongoing development, work on bespoke machinery and develop your skills across Design, Project Management and Testing.

This well-established company specialises in the design and manufacture of innovative industrial machinery and engineering equipment supplied to customers across the world. Due to continued demand, they are looking to expand their engineering department.

Within this varied role, you will be responsible for producing mechanical designs, drawings and technical documentation for specialist machinery, tooling and process equipment. You will work closely with experienced engineers on bespoke projects, with opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and gain exposure to all aspects of mechanical design.

This position would suit a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with CAD experience looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role offering excellent training, development and long-term progression.

The Role:

• Mechanical design of bespoke machinery, tooling and manufacturing equipment.
• Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor or similar software.
• Monday - Thursday (8am - 4:30pm), Friday (8am - 1pm).

The Person:

• Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Junior Design Engineers and candidates looking to develop their careers are encouraged to apply.
