Mechanical Fitter

Location: Dartford

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £43,000.00 – £53,000.00 per year (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems (pumps, pipework, valves, and associated equipment) on-site.

• Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on various mechanical systems.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Execute planned preventative maintenance alongside reactive and emergency works as required.

• Ensure all works are completed safely, following RAMS, method statements, and health & safety standards.

Requirements

• Completed Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

• Proven hands-on experience in an on-site mechanical engineering environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of pumps, motors, and pipework systems.

• Valid CSCS Card (or equivalent).

• Additional certifications (EUSR, IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels) are beneficial but not essential.

• Strong problem-solving ability, good communication, and a strong work ethic.
