Mechanical Fitter
Coleford, Gloucestershire
Permanent Position
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assemble industrial pumps powered by electric motors or diesel engines. You'll work from engineering drawings and bills of materials, ensuring all assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble bare-shaft pumps and electric/diesel skid sets.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
- Identify and report assembly or quality issues.
- Complete production documentation and inspection check sheets.
- Work with production, quality and testing teams.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with at least three years' relevant experience; or a minimum of five years' mechanical fitting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
