Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician to join their busy workshop in Sidcup. This Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician role offers a varied workload across prestige and other vehicles, with opportunities for professional development and immediate start availability.

Benefits:

• £38,000 to £43,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Optional Saturday overtime paid at time and a half

Duties:

• The successful Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician will service and maintain prestige and other vehicles
• Complete PDI and sales preparation work to ensure pre-owned vehicles are retail ready
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, including clutches, timing chains and suspension systems
• Carry out general mechanical repairs to a high standard
• Work efficiently and independently to OEM specifications
• Maintain consistently high standards of quality and safety

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician with approximately three to five years’ post-apprenticeship experience
• Proven experience in servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Strong diagnostic ability and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Full UK driving licence
• As a Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician, you should be committed to delivering professional workmanship
