Customer Service Advisor

Are you an experienced Customer Service professional who enjoys helping customers and providing a high standard of service?

We’re currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join an established and successful UK business. This is a predominantly customer service-focused position, where you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, resolving issues and ensuring they receive the right information and support.

You’ll work with both trade and retail customers, developing your product knowledge so you can confidently answer queries and assist customers throughout their journey.

Responsibilities: 

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, your responsibilities will include:

• Handling a high volume of inbound telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.

• Providing helpful and professional advice to customers regarding products and services.

• Dealing with customer queries, concerns and complaints and working to resolve issues efficiently.

• Processing customer orders and invoices accurately.

• Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer queries are directed to the correct team.

• Keeping customers informed and providing updates where required.

• Building positive and professional relationships with both trade and retail customers.

• Supporting the wider team and Area Sales Managers with customer-related administration.

• Developing a strong understanding of the company’s products and services to provide accurate information.

Requirements: 

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with customers and takes pride in delivering a great service.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous Customer Service experience.

• Experience working in a busy, telephone-based customer service environment.

• A confident, friendly and professional telephone manner.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Good computer skills and confidence using different systems.

• Strong attention to detail when processing orders and customer information.

• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with complaints or challenging queries.

• A positive, helpful and team-focused approach.
